Green.Smart.Transport.Deal

About the project

The Green.Smart.Transport.Deal project is dedicated to prioritizing and strengthening transnational cooperation between social partners in order to enhance worker involvement in actions within companies that aim to implement the European Green Deal (EGD) and the Strategy for Sustainable and Smart Mobility in the transport sector. The project recognizes the crucial role that workers play in driving the necessary transformations in the industry towards sustainability and smart solutions.

One of the main objectives of the project is to facilitate and promote workers’ active participation in the implementation of the European Green Deal. This entails empowering workers to contribute their insights, knowledge, and perspectives in shaping the transition to sustainable and smart mobility within their respective companies. By engaging workers in decision-making processes, the project seeks to ensure that their voices are heard and their needs are taken into account.

Furthermore, the project emphasizes the importance of implementing the European Green Deal in a socially responsible manner. It acknowledges that while environmental objectives are vital, it is equally important to consider the well-being and interests of workers and employers. Balancing these factors is crucial to achieving a sustainable and equitable transition in the transport sector.

To achieve its goals, the Green.Smart.Transport.Deal project aims to foster collaboration and dialogue between trade unions, employers’ organizations, and other relevant stakeholders in the transport sector. By facilitating transnational cooperation, the project seeks to create platforms for knowledge-sharing, best practices exchange, and joint decision-making processes.

Additionally, the project recognizes the need to provide adequate training and support to workers to ensure they have the necessary skills and competencies to contribute effectively to the implementation of the European Green Deal. It aims to identify and address any potential gaps in skills and knowledge, while also fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the industry.

In summary, the Green.Smart.Transport.Deal project is committed to strengthening transnational cooperation among social partners to enhance worker involvement in implementing the European Green Deal and the Strategy for Sustainable and Smart Mobility. By promoting workers’ participation, considering social responsibility, and fostering collaboration, the project seeks to drive the transformation of the transport sector towards a greener, smarter, and more sustainable future.
