International Workshop 22-23.02.2024

The lack of accessible information about rights and obligations under the Mobility Package poses challenges for drivers and operators. Additionally, insufficient cooperation among national authorities hampers administrative processes. There’s also a shortage of resources for cross-border controls and training for law enforcement. Language barriers further impede information exchange and cooperation. The Framework for Action emphasizes joint efforts between European and national authorities and social partners to enforce legislation consistently. It underscores the importance of coordination and synchronization at both levels to prepare for the Mobility Package. The framework is built on three pillars: Information, Cooperation, and Application and Analysis. Ongoing actions within these pillars aim to address the identified challenges. Planned activities include drafting a Continuity Agreement, hosting online meetings for vodcasts, preparing a final project publication for online dissemination, and conducting a follow-up meeting to share results.
